OUR WORK
THE PURSUIT TO BUILD A BETTER NEBRASKA
When you combine innovative minds, engaged business leaders, and dedicated Nebraskans, you get a team of visionaries who have the power to strengthen our great state and position it for future success. For more than 100 years, the Aksarben Foundation has been working tirelessly to support prosperity and growth for every Nebraskan. The results are impressive and we are well-positioned to make significant progress for Nebraska for many years to come.
OUR MISSION
The Aksarben Foundation empowers Nebraska’s leaders to seize opportunities and channel resources behind collective efforts to grow our economy and improve our quality of life.
Supporting solutions to tackle the most challenging issues facing Nebraska takes perseverance, foresight, and collaboration. Increasing our talent pool, particularly in areas of STEM is a top priority. Growing the state begins with ensuring Nebraska businesses connect with the talent they need right here at home.
Aksarben has been launching initiatives to take a focused approach and develop solutions and resources throughout specific industries and regions of the state. Each of these initiatives is Powered by Aksarben in that it is led by an Aksarben board member and supported by Aksarben staff.
INITIATIVES POWERED BY AKSARBEN
NEBRASKA TECH COLLABORATIVE
Nebraska Tech Collaborative, Powered by Aksarben, cultivates the talent to meet Nebraska’s need for innovation. This work is done through the connection of over 100 partners working toward the common goal of driving results and scaling programs to build a world-class tech talent ecosystem in Nebraska.
AKSARBEN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS AND INTERNSHIPS
Aksarben is dedicated to building a stronger future for Nebraska by connecting education to employment. Through our Scholarships and Internships initiative, we provide financial support to students pursuing training in STEM fields and connect them to career-aligned internship opportunities. This combination helps students gain hands-on experience, preparing them to contribute to Nebraska’s workforce.
COMMUNITY GRANTS
Aksarben provides grants to communities across the state that are designed to help reinforce Nebraska as the best place to live, work, and start a business.
